A little about me
Hey, I’m Josh — a front-end developer turned product designer with 12+ years of experience building and refining digital products. I love taking complex problems and turning them into clear, intuitive experiences that actually work for people.
I’m at my best when I’m collaborating closely with engineers, thinking through real user needs, and shipping practical solutions.
My journey
2011-2013
Web Designer
I started my career designing marketing-focused websites, learning how layout, hierarchy, and visual clarity influence how people engage with content. This phase grounded me in the fundamentals of the web and sparked my interest in how design decisions shape user behavior.
2013-2018
Front-End Dev
I moved into front-end development to bring designs to life in code, building responsive and accessible interfaces for real-world use. This is where I learned to think in systems, components, and constraints — and where design and engineering truly began to overlap for me.
2018-2021
UX Designer
As a UX designer, I focused on simplifying complex enterprise workflows in finance and healthcare. I began owning design systems, accessibility standards, and end-to-end user experiences — shifting from screens to systems.
2021-Present
Product Designer
Today, I work as a senior product designer leading end-to-end experiences for enterprise platforms. I design scalable systems, partner closely with engineering, and help teams move faster by reducing friction between design, product, and code.
My core values
Whether it’s exploring new ideas, jumping into CSS tweaks, or whiteboarding through a problem, I work best alongside my team to drive the strongest outcome.
Ownership doesn’t stop at approval. I stay invested through launch and beyond, refining and improving until the experience truly works for customers.
I’m comfortable with ambiguity and persistent in pushing through blockers to deliver meaningful results — even when there are hidden dragons.
